Pred Forte eye drops are an ophthalmic corticosteroid medication made up of prednisolone. We carry this medication in both the brand choice and generic alternative in 1%.
Pred Forte eye drops are used for certain eye conditions or injuries that cause inflammation. Such as allergies, severe acne, shingles, chemical burns, or other certain conditions. It may also be used to prevent inflammation of the cornea from occurring when being treated with the medication cytarabine.
Pred Forte eye drops are effective at treating inflammation as they are capable of clearing up symptoms such as swelling, redness, and itching.
Ensure you follow directions given to you by your doctor. If you forget, directions can usually be found on your prescription label.
Do not wear contact lenses when administering the eye drops. Do not use more eye drops than prescribed. If you use this medication for longer than 10 days, you may need to get frequent vision tests to monitor the pressure in your eyes. Store this medication at room temperature in an upright position. Do not freeze this medication.

blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain, or seeing halos around lights; small white or yellow patches on the surface of your eye; or pain behind your eyes.

Can children use this medication?
No. This medication is not approved for those who are younger than 18 years old.
Are there any drug interactions I should be aware of?
Yes, the main drug interaction is the smallpox vaccine. Do not receive this vaccine while using these eye drops.
